Ecommerce websites allow businesses/companies to market and sell to customers as well as providing them with after sales support. If you are a business or individual who are hoping to sell their products or services online via an Ecommerce website then there are certain aspects that you need to keep in mind as there at certain parts that make up an Ecommerce site such as the shop front. This is an interface that is presented to the customer and it incorporates an online catalogue that enables customers to browse through products; however you need to consider the eight second guideline. This means if a customer is unable to find the product or service that you are looking for in eight seconds then they are likely to go somewhere else.
Another aspect that your Ecommerce site should feature is a shopping cart. This enables easy selection and payment for products/services. When goods have been selected a customer should see a sign for the checkout allowing them to process the order quickly and the last feature that your Ecommerce website should have is payment software. Most people will want to pay for their products/service with credit or debit cards so you have to keep this in mind and provide a function that allows this.
